**Spoiler Alert** At one point Laura says we were her dream job.

We’re flattered, to say the least.

Laura is one of our superstar bookkeepers and a wonderfully active contributor to the #petsofavalon Slack channel. She works closely with our clients to take care of bookkeeping, file sales tax returns, and build reports that give our clients a guiding light.

But enough of our talk here’s Laura to say a bit more about herself.

Tell us a bit about your work and school background

Currently, I am working on my Bachelor of Business Admin - Accounting at Camosun College. I decided to enroll in the accounting program after working in various other roles (sales, admin, customer service) and realizing that the accounting side of the business is what interests me the most.

What interested you about joining ������վ?

From the first time seeing ������վ’s job post and viewing their website I knew that I had found my dream job. I have always enjoyed working with entrepreneurs and I really resonated with their mission to help small businesses thrive. The personality of ������վ as a company became immediately apparent on their website and in all of my initial interactions with them. They really are a warm, encouraging, brilliant, and hilarious group and I knew they were the people I wanted to surround myself with.

Other than fun times with spreadsheets and numbers, what activities do you enjoy in your spare time?

You can usually find me falling off my skateboard, falling off my surfboard, or you can’t find me because I’m lost in the woods.

What would your friends say is the strangest thing about you?

Hmmm.. probably that I would rather sleep outside than in a bed. Unless it’s an outside bed, then we’re talking.

If you could time travel and attend any concert, what year would you travel to and who would you go see?

This is perhaps the hardest question ever, but I’d have to go with Fleetwood Mac in 1977 right after their Rumors album came out.

What are your current go-to podcasts/YouTube channels?

I’ve been really liking the podcast. I’m learning the coolest facts about things I didn’t even know I was interested in.

What movie or TV villain did you (or maybe still do) want to be?

He who shall not be named

If you were a vacation what would you be and why?

I would be a road trip. ♪ Cause you’ve got a fast car and I’ve got a ticket to anywhere ♪

What are the Top 3 appliances?

I’m a bit of a coffee addict so:

1. Coffee maker 2. Coffee grinder and 3. Toaster, to go with my fresh cup of coffee

You’ve made your way into Hogwarts (late admission I guess), what house are you in?

Hufflepuff.. (I didn’t choose it, it chose me)

For no reason at all, don’t ask why, but in a heist, what are you playing in the crew?

Is a Pop-tart technically a sandwich or a ravioli?

What!! Neither. It’s in a league of its own.
