The idea for this book began even before my daughter, Morgan, was diagnosed with Celiac disease in February of 2008, at 4 years old. After I was diagnosed myself in October 2007, I was told there was a good chance that one or both of my twins also had it, so I came up with a unique, positive way to explain it to them both. Once she was diagnosed, the idea became a reality and I began to plan out the book text and started creating the artwork. Two and a half years later it was finally published. As of today, it’s been on the market since September of 2010, has sold well over 2,000 copies worldwide through my website, Amazon and Wegmans stores, and has been donated to hundreds more. It means the world to me to hear so many accounts of how positively this book has affected families around the world, especially the children themselves. Thank you so much for your interest and support!
Sincerely,
Katie Chalmers
